Version 1.1

LessLate 1.1: the first public release

The first public release brought the alarm and departure loop to the App Store, with arrival planning, saved trip templates and a Lock Screen display.

What changed

LessLate 1.1 became the first public App Store release on 17 September 2026. It combined leave time alarms and departure checks with Arrive by planning, saved trip templates and LessLate Pro.

The first public version also included a Lock Screen Live Activity showing a fixed leave time.

A decision before launch

In an earlier device test, an alarm set for a specific time was not heard. The project log pointed to the Lock Screen countdown as a suspected contributor. I removed it and separated the Lock Screen display from alarm timing.

A later device test confirmed an alarm sounding at the committed time. The work also exposed an alarm configuration that compiled successfully but could not be armed on a phone.

Evidence and limits

The project records include device tests, sandbox purchase checks and the public release date from Apple’s store data. The screenshots accompanying this entry were rebuilt from version 1.1 build 11 source and captured on 6 October. They are not screenshots taken on launch day.

The version 1.1 Set screen with Leave by and Arrive by options beside an armed reminder showing the leave time and starting location.

What I learned

A finished interface needed a separate check of the behaviour behind it. The next question was how much setup someone should face before setting their first reminder.
